What does a user want when he comes to your site?

What task would he like to achieve when he is on the site?

Is there a specific user group to which the site is aimed at..?

...If so. What information is needed on the site?

Have you, or can you have a usability test done on the site?


These are all vital questions that must be answered for a website to do what it can do. What it comes down to is a user-based design process that helps with the outcome of the final site and it's likely success in it's objectives.
