Great Structure Great Content Great Culture |
BBC | News | Great structure
The BBC site is well known for its amazing amount of content and information that is jammed into such a small place. This is in no way to say that BBC has done this wrong. Quite the opposite in fact, what they have done is made all the content easy to read and easy to navigate round. At no point do you get confused about where you should get your specific news topic from. Perhaps one point would be when you are trying to get to sport in the UK it can get a little annoying. Most of the entire site has superb link structure and on every page you are able to get to any other. BBC combines usability and aesthetics’ and in no way places up pointless images just for the sake of it. All the links stand out very well due to clever text use and colour decisions. They used to have the colour scheme synchronised with the main picture whish is no great loss. Some say that the visual identity if the old BBC site has melted away. This it would seen has been scarifies for a superb usability factor. |
