The site layout is an adaption of a User Based Design Process was taken up. Please look at the User Based Design Process to see what this involves. Content would be (and is) vital to users of a site and in this case it was Edward Burnands' art work. A building of a site is vital also as it is a simple way to get to know the product and service you are looking to get to market.
A vital part of this site was to make sure that the artwork of Edward Burnand stands out the most. It was clear from a market review that sites which show case such products do not need flash animation and bells and whistles. So, from this it was best then to make sure that the bulk of the content was the artists work. This way the content makes all the reading and the copy was kept to a small amount for detauls such as 'contact' , 'costs' etc.
In the art world it was agreed that people like to see the work. In london the work must stand out and though a name is vital each peice of art work needs to speak for its self. The culture of London is this and as such this gave great input on what we should do. Culture links to content and though there is little text this was intentional so that art work is the content more than anything else.Check out his work here.
