HybridLab | HybridLab Joomla?

Hybridlab seems to be showcasing a new site made on the Joomla platform which is, " Joomla! is one of the most powerful Open Source Content Management Systems on the planet."

Of course there is common knowledge about the problems that Joomla has for any business online, but it has many positives namely what was in the quote, content management.

HybridLab and the cultural content

This site seems to be looking a lot more content rich especially on the home page which is vital as many will enter via this area. This is vital as the culture of HybridLabs audiance needs content quick and easy and without fuss.

One area of concern is the huge similarity between this site and the PlayLouder site. They both have vast structure parallels and though this is probably working for play louder as this has been there out set from the start HybridLabs seismic shift in structure will leave them with a few problems with regards to advertising and bounce rates.

Its long overdue move in the right direction but a need to understand users and what they are used to is vital. HybridLabs main navigation is now across the top in an horizontal fashion different from its vertical look it had before.

From running some link checks it seems as though many people before were linking to the home page and though you want deeper links the video on the home page made the site popular. A leaf could of been taken out of been taken out of other video sites as to how they should be displayed.

Overall, apart from a convoluted, self serving, banner placement above the fold the site seems to have a growing understanding of recent trends in fashion.

All text in the culture section is professional opinion and in no way linked to the owners of the site. All copy is the property of James Kinloch and regular scrape checks are conducted.
